What iGentitY does not do
iGentitY has no analytics, no team accounts and no TikTok publishing. There is no timeline video editor and no 4K output. Everything below is a current limit stated plainly, alongside the nearest thing that does work.
This page exists so you can rule iGentitY out in two minutes rather than two weeks.
Is there analytics or engagement data?
No. There are no views, likes, impressions, reach, engagement rates, follower counts or best-time-to-post insights anywhere in the product, and nothing reports how a published post performed. You would check that on the social platform itself.
If performance reporting is the thing you are shopping for, iGentitY is not the tool.
Can I invite a teammate?
No. There is no way to invite a teammate, share an account, assign roles or leave internal comments. One person owns an account.
One sharing mechanism does exist: a client review link from the Calendar gives someone outside the product a read-only view of the month's scheduled posts, where they can leave feedback per post. It can be revoked at any time.
Can I publish to TikTok?
No. TikTok cannot be connected or published to. The connectable platforms are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X — see supported platforms. Personal Facebook profiles and personal Instagram accounts also cannot be connected, for reasons that are Meta's rather than ours.
Can I edit a video on a timeline?
No. There is no timeline editor — no trimming, cutting, splicing, keyframes or frame-by-frame control.
A finished video can still be changed in two ways. You can describe the change in chat — "make the lighting warmer", "slower, calmer movement" — or attach a reference image and ask the video to follow it. On-screen text can be restyled and re-burned, and music can be swapped, both without re-rendering a frame.
Two things are not editable that way: the spoken audio, which means regenerating the clip, and the length. A different duration is a new video, not an edit.
What video resolutions and lengths are available?
720p is the standard and there is no 4K. 1080p exists only on the models that offer it, and only if you have selected one under Account Settings → AI Models — the default model on every format renders below 1080p.
Most generated clips run to at most 15 seconds, and motion graphics to 10. The exception is the avatar video, which reaches about two minutes by filming several takes and joining them; the joins are visible as cuts. Your own uploaded footage can be posted unchanged at any length, and worked on up to 15 seconds, or 30 on the longer model.
What formats do not exist?
Memes, GIFs, live streams, podcasts, audio-only content, long narrative films and full product-UI walkthrough videos.
Is there an avatar library or voice cloning?
No to both. There is no avatar marketplace and no library of ready-made avatars to browse, no 3D avatars, no cartoon avatar builder and no face customisation sliders.
Uploading a voice recording is not voice cloning — it shapes the pitch, register, accent and pace of a generated voice, and the presenter will not sound like the person who recorded it. See presenters and voices.
